Hall of Fame jockey Ron Turcotte is best known for piloting the legendary Secretariat during his awe-inspiring 1973 Triple Crown campaign, setting still-existing track records in the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes victories. In a renowned riding career spanning 17 years, Turcotte won over 3000 races. With his victory aboard Riva Ridge in the 1972 Run for the Roses, Turcotte became the first jockey in 70 years to ride back-to-back Derby winners and remains the only jockey ever to have won five of six consecutive Triple Crown races.

"Horses are uncomplicated, it's people that confuse them."
